1 Marriage, Temple Marriage and Civil Divorce. Marriage. 14 Apr 1930 Gladys Gylling Charlie was Md to Gladys Gylling in the Salt Lake Temple was later divorced 22 Nov 1937. No unsealing. Charlie was killed in action during World War II. He was married a second time just before he was shipped over seas. Her name was Mary. My grandfather received was shipped over Charlie's pension. My mother said the second marriage was not legal as she had married soldiers for their insurance. I do not know. She was never heard from after the marriage.

Important Events
Born in Lewis County Tennessee, the only child of Amos C. Westbrook and Susan Lucetta Nance on 14 Sep 1860. Converted to the Gospel by Elders Martin Darn (of Salt Lake City, Utah) and Argyle (of West Bountiful, Utah). He emigrated west in 1884. He lived in Utah for only nine months and was called to help in the San Luis Stake (Colo.) by Pres. C.O. Card (Stake President of the Cache Stake, Logan, Utah). He Arrived in La Jara, Coloradoon 14 February 1885. Died 23 October 1948 at the age of 88 years, 1 month and 9 days.

He was born May 12, 1902, in Sanford to John D. Westbrook and Leander Elizabeth Kelly-Westbrook.
He was a trapper for many years and also worked as a truck driver and packout man for the La Jara Potato Growers Association
He was a member of the LDS church and enjoyed Old-Timer's Baseball and his family.
He was married ot Marie Miller Westbrook April 3, 1937, in Richfield,Colorado. She proceded him death on Augst 30, 1975.
He was also preceded in death by one daughter, Carolyn Anderson, on Augsust 30, 1975.
He is surviced by three sons: Darrel H. and Collen Westbrook, Tooele, Utah; Carl J. and Diana Westbrook, Montrose, Colo.; and Robert K. and Rima Westbrook, McHenry, Ill.; and one daughter: Elaine and Kelly Mortensen of Creede, Colo.
And surviving are one son-in-law, Gary Anderson of Manasa; one brother, Ray westbrook of Wallace, Idaho.; three sisters: Wanda Worth of Alamosa, Louise Scheibe of La Jara, and Grace Martich of Denver; and 22 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Services were held May 19 at 1 p.m. at the Sanford Ward Chapel Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Burial was in the Sanford Cemetery.
Arrangements were made by Butler-Showalter Chapel of Alamosa.
